What do the Women’s Strike and the Mermaid have in common? Kotarban!

❓❓ What does the Women’s Strike have in common between Kotarban and the Warsaw Mermaid ❓❓❓ It turns out, a lot. 👉 On the one hand, fragile and delicate porcelain, 👉 on the other, the blade of a sword. They can be combined! But there is another connection: 👉 the creator of the Mermaid was… “Aunt Ludka”, that is, Professor #LudwikaNitschowa, a relative of Marek Kotarba, his mentor and at the same time a creative and independent person, aware of women’s rights. Kotarban’s depiction of the Mermaid thus combines the present with the past.
